The Women’s March began in 2017 in response to Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration. It has become an annual tradition across the United States and the world. In 2020, I documented my local march, which gathered at the Bellingham City Hall.

In response to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s crisis and “out of sense of hopelessness and anger,” a memorial march was held in 1992 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and has repeated annually on Valentine’s Day ever since. In 2020, I documented this event after learning about the movement in a college course.
